Kill Bill

Despite having a very decent summer of surf in the n’east, the first storm of the season is always highly anticipated. Hurricane Bill came and delivered some powerful surf without a doubt. Here’s Team Rider Dave Werner riding “some of the scariest surf he’s seen in a while” in Ship Bottom courtesy of Ann Coen. I surfed with Dave the following day (SUN) and had quite the fun session (and 2 trips to the chiro, yikes!). The surf is lingering just enough for our Coquina Jam tomorrow – we hope to see you all there supporting the female surfers of LBI and Boarding for Breast Cancer!

Coquina Jam Bracket!

Okay ladies, here are the teams which were picked at random yesterday. We were siked to reach our goal of 32 surfers and apologize to those who were unable to get into the Jam – However, please come out on WED, AUG 26th, support the girls who are surfing and list your information with us – you may be able to surf as an alternate or at the very least we will have your vitals for next year’s contest! Do attempt to get in touch with your partner before the contest (contact us for your partner’s phone/email) & please arrive @ Hudson Ave. early (contest starts @ 5pm)! If you haven’t paid the $25 entry fee, then you will need to sign in on the beach, sign the waiver and perhaps discuss some strategy with your partner! See you there!

RiP! Watch it!

Check out the documentary RiP! A Remix Manifesto – A documentary that explores issues of copyright in the information age, mashing up the media landscape of the 20th century and shattering the wall between users and producers. It is wonderfully put together with a ton of great moments! There is no doubt that you’ll feel inspired after watching!

The film is over an hour so if you don’t have time now bookmark this link http://www.hulu.com/watch/88782/rip-a-remix-manifesto & watch it later!

Classics

We kept getting the question, are you guys reprinting the (insert favorite Jetty design here)!? So, on top of building a new fall/holiday collection we decided to squeeze in a bunch of classic Jetty designs! We also redesigned our shopping cart to make things a little easier for our online customers. We’d also like to thank Ann Coen for shooting our lovely models, Chris Clifford, Tom Ford, Alex Rivera, Sally Meyer, Emily Tool & Sara Parisi. Video coming soon! Check out the latest and greatest now in our new online store!

Desimas on FuelTV Boston Dew Am Force!

Just last week while sitting at the bar watching FuelTV’s coverage of the Boston Dew Tour on mute, familiar faces started flashing across the screen! First our buddy Brian Butler popped up showing off some of the great work he does (think mini-golf)! And then Desimas showed up skating followed by Bro from Orchard and then the local Boston band Tulsa. Everyone at the bar was calling bullshit…so here are the clips…for real! What up Boston!
